Principal

Susan has a strong reputation building integrated creative solutions that deliver results. She leads our strategy development practice, designing customized approaches for destinations, associations, and international hotel chains. Susan is fully trained in building and implementing the Balanced Scorecard -- originated by Harvard Business School — a strategic planning and management system used extensively in busi ness and industry, government, and nonprofit organizations worldwide. The BSC approach ensures that business activities are aligned with the vision and strategy of  the organization, improves internal and external communications, and monitors an organization’s performance against strategic goals.

Previously, as the Vice President, Strategic Initiatives at the Canadian Tourism Commission (CTC), Susan was responsible for its global brand implementation. She was instrumental to the success of the CTC’s Olympic efforts, spearheading the strategy and marketing for the 2010 Winter Games. She also spent ten years as their Vice President, creating award-winning marketing and sales programs in media and public relations, meetings and conventions, and leisure trade.

Susan is also credited with developing the destination partnership approach that was adapted by key industry associations and resulted in her award for Professional Achievement by PCMA.

Yvonne is a brand development, strategic planning and integrated marketing specialist who has provided counsel and managed marketing communications initiatives at the local, national, and international level for a number of companies in a wide range of industries, including Coca-Cola, Hilton Hotels, Singapore Airlines, IBM, Procter & Gamble, Unilever, Bank of Bermuda (HSBC), Microsoft and Samsung.

Prior to helping to establish Navigate, Yvonne was co-creator and managing director of Radar DDB, DDB’s social media marketing division. In her previous work with DDB, Yvonne led the Canadian Tourism Commission’s marketing efforts in Europe, Asia, South America, Australia, and North America. She headed up the team responsible for the successful development and introduction of a new travel brand for Canada that moved the brand to number one in FutureBrand’s country brand index.

Yvonne has over 25 years of strategic brand development and implementation experience, encompassing everything from the ground-up development of brands for start-up companies, to the articulation and application of brand architecture for countries, cities and global banks, to the refresh and refocus of visual identities for national technology companies as well as a wide range of associations including AMC Institute, Events Industry Council, National Association for Catering and Events, and International Aviation Women’s Association.

Doug has been applying his skills as a creative professional for over 18 years. He has experience working in agencies servicing global clients and is involved in all aspects of the creative process including corporate branding, visual identities, thematic design systems, web-based identity managers and websites.

No matter the medium, Doug has a knack of taking complex business problems and turning them into compelling, simple visual solutions. Whether he's working on a client project, a pro bono assignment, a personal project or something else, Doug pours his heart into it and won't stop until he's made it the best it can be.

Doug has worked on projects for clients such as CenturyLink, VCU Health, Yale-New Haven Health, Western Union, IBM, Motorola, Cisco, Centura Health, George Washington University, and National Jewish Health. Most recently, he has created compelling visual identities for a wide range of Navigate’s clients.

Doug is from Boston, MA and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with a concentration in Graphic Design from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst.
